Why does it taste so good? This is my all time favourite green juice combination and I’m addicted to it!
I’m writing about green juice in my upcoming E-book because it’s such an important part of my life. I have come to the point now where I can simply live on it, as it’s full of goodness and gives me unlimited energy.
Don’t forget to use a cold pressed juicer and there are many reasons for this, the most important two being that you retain all the nutrients (which get burnt or overheated in a conventional juicer) and you get more juice with less waste! I use only the Omega Total Nutrition Centre and saw this great article recently where it received the award for ‘Best All Round Juicer’ and with good reason!
It’s an amazing juicer, and you won’t be able to use another juicer once you’ve used this one, they are strong and durable and quick and easy to clean.
So, this recipe is very simple, get your organic kale, pineapple and fresh mint and put them all through the juicer, don’t chop anything off or throw anything away! Stalks of the kale go in, and skin and centre of the pineapple go in! This is important because there is so much goodness in most of what we have been conditioned to throw away.
Always put the fresh mint in last to ensure the maximum taste otherwise it gets all lost in the rest of the juice. Don’t put a few sprigs of mint in either put the whole bunch, and put two bunches if you’re brave enough! Dark green herbs heal us in ways that many of us just don’t understand. Use 2 or 3 kale leaves and half a pineapple, then taste and decide whether you need more.
I always add half to one litre of coconut water to my juice as I believe all juices should be diluted.
